Got the parts painted now

Started rebuilding one of the wheels today :)
Gonna try and take some pics of the other parts to the weekend but here are some pic of the wheel I'm working on and an old one.

Looks a bit better now doesn't it ;)
Note: the spokes aren't tensioned yet as I need some balancer but I'm gonna fix the spokes for the other wheel first.

Okay have some new pictures, I'ven polished up one set of spokes for a wheel now!

To the right are some unpolished one who has been in a bath of "Smedens rostbortagare" which is a real good thing for removing rust :)

I have the rims here also, was a bit worried about one of them, had some cracks on a certain place so I thought I'd check it out before it's sent it for powder coating.

And for the last thing today, some new gear I got a while ago. Was gonna take apart the old back suspension and repaint it and check that it was in good condition inside but the tool for taking apart the inner cylinder broke before it opened so I thought lets get new ones, they aren't that expensive.



I've also found some tank shifters that I'm really interested in, a bit expensive and I wonder if they will fit my Ural which is a bit older. http://uralnwco.ipower.com/store/page8.html <- item can be viewed there a bit down on the page it's called "Twin stick forward and reverse shifter".

First post

Okay the first post, I've bought my ural earlier this year and it's already in pieces so I've been working on it somewhat. The frame and some other parts is in for powdercoating at the moment and I've been polishing some spokes.

I'm gonna fix up the bike itself first, the sidecar will be a later project and during theese cold winter months not much will be done except for fixing two of the wheels.

Anyway here's a picture of the bike when I got it!

So the plan is to repaint it, make it run smooth, already fixed a real nice batterybox.

Don't have much pictures of when I'm taking it apart, but I have an picture of an carburator polished/unpolished.

A bit of difference aint it ;)

Ah well will put up more later this weekend hopefully :)
